This position is responsible for the management and supervision of all shipping and warehouse activities. The primary responsibilities include scheduling and supervising warehouse personnel, outbound shipping requirements, movement of inventory, accurate record keeping of all warehouse activities, maintaining the warehouse in clean and organized condition, maintaining inventory in good condition, and insuring inventory is accurately input into the Company computer system. Responsible for ensuring all product shipments are within company standards for package condition, pallet configuration, and product count per pallet. Ensure all trucks being loaded are in compliance with Company standards. Coordinate and communicate any outbound or inbound shipping issues with the Traffic Manager. Ensure all department personnel are trained in and adhere to all personal and food safety policies, programs, regulations, and procedures.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Administrative knowledge to include, but not limited to planning, resource allocation, leadership, and coordination of people and activities.
• Previous supervisory experience
• Knowledge of principles and methods of shipping products over the road.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service and satisfaction and achieve quality standards.
• Knowledge of production and processing including quality control, cost control, waste elimination, and effective distribution of goods.
• Good paperwork and basic mathematical skills, intermediate computer skills with a good knowledge of Excel or similar software.
• Knowledge of pallet stacking methods and container loading methods.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well with supervisors, co-workers, and all levels of staff.
• Ability to delegate duties when necessary.
• Safety and Quality conscious.
• Must be able to keep legible, accurate and complete records and reports in English.
• Must be able to closely follow operational instructions.
